Special features:

Dynamic cooling: This is one very important and useful feature that should be present in a fridge freezer model. With the help of this cooling system, cold air is circulated throughout the fridge so that the temperature can be constantly maintained. With the persistent addition of food that is of room temperature the already frozen items tend to get defrosted and thus raises the question of freshness. But with this system in place the food remains good and does not get spoilt.

Super freeze Function:  The second special feature found in this model is the capacity of the appliance to reduce the temperature of the freezer to the lowest degree as quickly as possible. • This appliance comes with two vegetable compartments to store the vegetables and greens so that they remain crisp and green. With the help of these two compartments, vegetables and fruits can be stocked up separately.
• An internal light is provided for easy visibility especially when the outside environment has inadequate illumination.
• The door shelves are 5 in number.
• There is the facility to store dairy items separately in the door shelf. This shelf comes with a lid over it.
• Surprisingly this fridge freezer model has egg storage for 12 numbers whereas one would find only 6 number capacity in most of the models.
• There is a bottle shelf in the door which comes with a divider that helps segregate the different sizes of bottles.

• It has a holding capacity of 62 litres.
• In 24 hours time this unit can freeze about 6 kilograms of food which is quite adequate for a family of four.
• The freezer is able to maintain optimum temperature of 24 hours in case of power cut. This is of great utility value as it is able to retain the frozen food as it is.
• The freezer is enabled with the Super Freeze function which speeds up the cooling process.
• The freezer enjoys frost free functions making it all the more effortless to maintain and clean.
• There are 3 shelves in the freezer to help to segregate the meat from the ready to eat food to dairy products.
• To make ice quickly, an ice tray is provided along with the appliance.

The basics:

Miele KDN 9713 iD White Colour Fridge Freezer is an integrated model that snugly fits into one’s kitchen cabinet with a friendly dimension of 1772 millimetres in height, 560 millimetres in width and 550 millimetres in depth that includes the distance from the wall too. The unit comes in a milky white finish. The entire unit is divided into two parts where the fridge is found above the freezer. There are two doors for this unit. Both these doors have hinges on the right side. They are convertible and are of sliding door types. Though the appliance does not come with touch controls and external display, the product has electronic controls. With the aid of this control precise temperature setting is maintained helping in conserving energy and avoiding a high energy bill. The annual energy consumption is 335.8 kWh and emits noise level of 40 Db which is pretty low for the size of the appliance.

Though very many accessories are not available with this model it cannot be sidelined as the absence of them actually increase the storage space of the fridge and freezer. Moreover, these items can be purchased in the Miele shops too.
